APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Chatting after Class

Here’s the information you need in order to submit your application :

Applying for a place on one of ISGG’s online degree programmes :

The procedure involves 5 successive short steps :

Step 1

Send the following documents attached to an e-mail sent to chancellor@isgg.ch

(1) a scanned copy of your highest degree to date ; (2) a scanned copy of the corresponding transcript ; (3) a statement of motivation and interest ; (4) a CV emphasizing your academic (and, if any, professional) record ; (5) a scan of the photo page in your passport.

If you are applying for a place on the doctoral programme, be advised that a 6th document is required : your research proposal (complete with intended topic, research problem, literature consulted so far, and preliminary indications as to theoretical framework, hypotheses, observation plan and access to data). Such a research proposal need not be perfect at this stage : your faculty adviser will be there to help you enrich and refine it in due course.

Step 2

The chancellor’s office will acknowledge receipt of your application dossier by e-mail. The same message will further indicate ISGG’s bank details in order for you to pay (by bank transfer) the required non-refundable 100.– Swiss franc application processing fee.

Step 3

Upon receipt of your processing fee payment, your application dossier will be passed on to ISGG’s Academic Council for review and assessment purposes. You will be notified of its decision, by e-mail again, within a month.

In all cases, the selection process admits qualified students without regard to gender, citizenship, identity, race, colour, religion, ethnic origin or disability.

Step 4

If your application is granted, a letter of acceptance will be issued, together with a student contract for you to date, sign and return by e-mail.

Step 5

Your enrolment in the programme you wish to join will become effective upon receipt of the annual tuition fee payment mentioned in your student contract. (See : Admissions/Tuition Fees).

Accessing the Validation of Professional Experience procedure :

All you need to do is to send an e-mail to chancellor@isgg.ch with (in attachment) your detailed professional CV and a brief statement of the reasons why you are seeking the benefit of the validation programme.

The rest of the procedure will unfold as indicated under the Admissions/Admission Requirements and Admissions/Tuition Fees tabs.

Request for the organization of a Customized Group Training Session in Geneva or elsewhere :

Please send an e-mail to chancellor@isgg.ch detailing the requirements for the session : training objectives, profile and size of group or delegation, dates envisaged, specific needs.

A proposal will be issued within a week, complete with suggested features and detailed quotation.
